Scholarship

Southern Hills Community Bank will be awarding three $500 non-recurring scholarships to a qualifying high school senior with intent to attend college.

Eligibility:

Applicant must:

1. Reside in Adams, Brown, Clinton, Highland, Ross, or Fayette counties in Ohio.
2. Be a high school graduating senior.
3. Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
4. Be majoring in accounting, agriculture, business, economics, finance, or information systems.

Application must be postmarked no later than April 5, 2024

Selection Procedure:

The Scholarship Committee will select the recipients.  The scholarships will be awarded based on the information contained in the application form.  Consideration will be given to the following:

• Education and career goals
• Academic performance (per transcript requested above)
• School and/or community involvement
• Written communication skills- Essays will be judged according to content, originality, and creativity.

Award Notification:

The winners of the three Southern Hills scholarships will be notified no later than May 3, 2024.   The winners will be announced in the local media.
